What We Don't Collect

- Browsing history or behavior patterns

Your Data Stays Where You Put It
Everything remains under your control:
- Your documents - All markdown files you create or edit stay exactly where you choose to save them (your Mac, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, etc.). We never access, copy, or transmit your file contents.
- App settings - Preferences like font size, themes, and editor settings are stored locally on your Mac
- Recent files list - File paths are stored locally for convenience, but file contents are never accessed without your explicit action
Note: If you save files to cloud storage services like iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive, those services have their own privacy policies. We only access files when you explicitly open them in the app.
No Internet Connection Required
Markdown EditPad works completely offline and does not:
- Connect to the internet
- Communicate with our servers
- Send data to third parties
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Include advertisements or tracking pixels
No Accounts or Registration
We don't require you to create accounts, provide email addresses, or share any personal information to use Markdown EditPad.
Third-Party Services
Markdown EditPad does not integrate with or share data with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Data Security
Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing for us to lose or have breached. Your documents and settings remain under your complete control on your device.
